Well, I would like to think that it’s true but not true at the same time, yes we see boo in the old school Mario games such as Mario Tennis, probably Mario golf, and maybe other old school games that had only king boo or “boo” in there.

But when it comes to earlier old school games such as Mario party double dash, Super Mario Sunshine, so on and so forth boo is known to be called king boo and the rest of the boos are just called boos besides from the names that they were given from the Luigi’s Mansion series.

But we never actually see or hear where king boo/boo lives besides from his paranormal dimension, but in that dimension, we only see a world, where it’s button less and bottom full purple sky, ground, and a space full, gravitational world, where everything is possible, such as summoning houses, or summoning spike balls from above, or maybe summoning a boxing area.

Sure you could say that dimension is he’s home. But he could of also just crowned himself there while not only discovering the dimension, but maybe be the first one who only knew about it, and claimed that dimension as his throne home, similar to how Lucifer the King of hell, crown himself he’s title, when he first discovered hell when no one own else did.

So we never actually get to see or hear where he lives besides from what boo has shown Luigi (us as the character) in Dark Moon.

And that’s probably the only place that he has to release he’s pain and anger when he escapes from the vacuum, or when he wants/needs to escape from reality, and I guess when it comes to escaping from reality he takes out on the Mario Bros, especially Luigi, since Luigi is not only the one that rescues Mario, and others that fall into Boss’s clutches, but also is the one that prevents king boo/boo from hurting people and himself, since they both share a similar understanding of what’s like to be someone’s shadow all the time, and possibly every single day.
