If you need a passport photo, this video will explain how to take one and format it properly for submission. Make sure you take a good photo when applying for your USA passport, or it could extend the process. If you need to take your own photo, make sure you set up a camera so it's steady on a tripod and that you have good lighting to take a crisp picture.

Thank you so very much, for your video, it has been very helpful. My husband is a British Citizen and his passport expires 31st of October 2024. I must say the online application is very user friendly, however my photography is not the best, obviously. Lol. Thanks so much this does help even though online they do explain. I am shorter than my husband would it help if he sat down? I guess its best he goes and gets the passport pics done and they email it to me....

What I would do is just go to your local Walgreens and get your passport picture taken there.
