So. Did you really think you could impulse an object with a device that weighs barely more than the object itself? Did you really think it could make the ball fly all the way up to the ceiling of that room? That's basic physics man. Fast prototypes are ok, but it does not mean you can skip some formal design including calculations etc. BTW that makes the MIT look pretty bad. What you need is some real experience in industry, not just college-type made up challenges. The way you do things when huge amounts of time and money are at stake has nothing to do with what you show here
