Fun fact the original cut of the movie had EVEN LESS KANGAROOS because it was just a raunchy crime comedy but nobody liked anything about it except for that kangaroo. So they literally brought back the cast to add more kangaroo jack

This anime is so good that the title character doesn't need to be the main character. While watching I'm standing up and patiently waiting for the kangaroo to show up, when it does its like a national holiday

I remember watching commercials for this movie with the kangaroo rapping. I never saw it myself, so I just assume the titular kangaroo was the main focus of the film. But now I know the truth thanks to RebelTaxi.
