I had a 1986 model of that same bike, red white and blue with a square headlight IIRC. The nicest looking model was the 1985, red bike, black engine and blue seat. Awesome restoration hob, congrats.

Anvil reliability, could ride it across the world ! There is a red white and blue XL600R with 2700 miles for sale near me, 1986, I believe, wish it was electric start, I'd buy it. My buddy says buy a 650 bottom end / cases, and swap it....

Nice XL! Great video! I sold my 1981 CR250 for 800 about 15 years ago, lord what I would do to get that back. I know work my face off find one and buy it!

In 1992 I had a 1982 xr250r. These bike's are a joy to trail ride all day long. And he's correct bullet proof.

Awesome bike!! Looks a lot like the xl in the beginning of Back to the Future parked in the parking lot behind Marty. Think that one was an 84 but there are a lotta similarities

Man if this thing sells for more than $3500 that will be crazy! because there's one that's been up for sale around me that is just as clean but even more original for that price and its been up for more than half a year only 350KM on the odometer.
