'Do Try This @ Home 2010' - Episode 14 - 'Bring Back the Toys!'

Kids making their own toys should be encouraged because it shows them new skills, but in a fun way that they can be proud of.

Some people do not appreciate simple things like this because they don't have a creative mentality. This gentleman takes his time to show cool stuff that some websites even charge you for. Learn people, even if it looks simple like that, and when you get old, you can show your children or grandchildren that you learned something in life and you were not just an old man. Maybe your kids will end up being inventors.

You are wonderful. I love doing this stuff with my 3 yr old grandson. He has so many toys ( only child with doting parents and grandparents) but he loves these homemade ones. The simple experiments are fun too and he gets a big kick out of it. I'm so glad I found your channel.Thanks so much.:o)

You can get some real good air with the Propeller thing, if you take a small washer or nut stick it about a inch or two below the propeller, stick it into a small pipe that is held in place, take about a foot 1/2 length of string and twist around the stick between the propeller and the nut/washer. Get it good and tight, pull hard and fast, then swish, they can go very high that way. Love your vids!

At the first toy, my dad use to do that when he was little. But instead, he used one of those bottle caps found in glass bottles with two holes he made on them. It is dangerous, but very fun.
