Actually that is not the right way to pit a pomegranate you slice the top down into a pentagon shape then slice down into 5 side. Remove the top and the skin in the middle should come with it. Open up the pomegranate and done. Never cut the pomegranate in half you release all the juice and very messy to clean up.

First of all those pomegranates looked nasty second I don't think even the chef took out the seeds the best way

Even the chef doesn't know how to cut pomegranate embarrassing for him. They should all learn the technique to do it.

Every time they (including the chef) sticked the knife through the middle I feel my grandmother hit the back of my head with a spatula.

Next video:
*apple sits on the table*
45/50 people: WTF IS THIS!
One man: *grabs meat tenderizer*
A woman: *picks up a chef's knife*
*cuts apple horizontally*
"Oh! Okay, this is strange."

Oml even the chef couldn’t do it right. You have to cut the sides where there is the “humps”. They you can just peel the skin away into large pieces and then pick each seed out. Look up how to cut pomegranates for an in depth tutorial.

The old lady had the best technique honestly. Pre whack with wooden spoon. Cut in half and most of it already fallen out. Then just whack a little more to get the rest out. XD

SORRRY BUT THESE ARE ALL BAD.
First, those pomegranates aren't ripe enough yet.
Second, even the chef uses a weird technique which took lots of effort. The older lady with the wooden spoon had the best technique of the bunch but most all methods seemed very messy.

The method my family has always used is to take the pomegranate and place it on a table. You begin to roll it around putting pressure on it, until it isn't as hard all around. This frees up the little seeds inside from the white that they are stuck to. When you cut the pomegranate open, there will be a little extra juice but it won't be messy, just like cutting a salad tomato. You can then just remove the seeds that should already be free with a spoon and remove any extra white bits that have also come out.

I understand pomegranates are a bit weird, but I expected the chef to use a better method. So hopefully this method helps others as it seems better than all the other methods I've seen in the video. This is the method everyone I know uses for pomegrates. Hope this is helpful. :)

This horrible, even the chef has no idea about how to do it right. you should never cut it in the middle as it damages the seeds and makes them "bleed" out all their juice.

This entire series in a nutshell:

"There's gotta be an easier way to do this."

You don't slice it in half, you only slice the skin and then pull it apart

You don't need to do the fancy way the chef did it, it's much easier and way more satisfying just to break it with you hands after you cut it open.
