I love that you do your research. I think gen z has been impacted by like pressure of being “made fun of” just because they have a certain type of phone. In France it's very unlikely to happen as there we want very cheap phones and change them often, or we are rich/have rich parents (in case of teenagers) and we get a new iPhone every year.

One simple trick that I hope some people get mad when I do it is the following: I propose them to get a paid app like Minecraft for free forever using modded APKs, then I ask if they're on iPhone, if yes, I tell them it doesn't works on iPhone, else I proceed to install the app. Hopefully this triggers atleast a little my enemies (Apple users)

Apple is only more popular than androids in select few richer countries. As for the younger generations, smarter shoppers, smart phone enthusiasts, tech lovers, and people on a budget go to android for their greater set of and more innovative features in software and hardware, generally cheaper price, much better freedom, a better more capable operating system, and the much lower walls of each android phone companies ecosystems. (I also cannot stress enough on how innovative android is compared to apple)
