I unironically really enjoy the trimetric and grainy look combined with the clay talking heads. Anachronistically in my head it feels almost deliberate with the way it’s paired with the aesthetic themes, score and atmosphere. It was one of the things that discouraged me from playing long ago, and also the same thing that got me intrigued by it years later.

fallout 1 and 2 are unironically some of the best games i’ve ever played. i liked 2 a little more but that’s mostly cuz it’s kinda fallout 1 but more. pro-tip: play with the latest version of the restoration patch. restores cut content and includes the unofficial patch.

Keep in mind windows 10 and 11 can be very difficult to play fallout 1 and 2, sometimes the game opens, othertimes youll half to play with settings and reinstall, it can be a real pita

Fallout 2 is easily the best in the series if you can get used to the gameplay, personally being introduced into the series with 3 it was a huge learning curve but extremely rewarding. It’s better than new vegas if you can get into it, definitely worth picking up. Always take high agility.
