project sekai: please fix this.

this happens not very often but it still happens. Glitch: it doesn't count my taps

Believe it or not, but I've been having these issues with the eng. version for literal weeks now. And no, it's not just how I play, or how I hold my phone, lag, or anything like that. my iPad lags badly and I fced multiple master songs on the jp version. My phone, where I started eng and played multiple weeks jp, is completely fine, never had an issue on jp there, but I can't fc a single song on eng where I have some fced on master on the jp version. It's not a "skill issue", the eng version is genuinely messed up.

So many almost full combos till the end and then taps don't register or sometimes in multi player ( --)

I can't balance being bad at the game and the game itself just refusing to register my taps. I was once doing a _normal_ map and the game just decided to die for 4 inputs and process them all at once a second later, it was wild. This takes away my hope to FC any experts in the near future

it's definitely with
a.) how you hold the phone
b.) what part of the screen you are tapping
c.) of course lag and/or latency

nah the reasons why this could be happening are
1. Refresh rate
2. Lag
3. Finger placement
I have not experienced this before but those are some possible explanations also I'm using the mi 11t pro at 120hz

As someone who has had this problem I want to adress everyone who's been saying skill issue to things like this, because trust me, I would LOVE it to be a skill issue because then I can actually improve, but this is no skill issue. it happens to me on double flicks a lot. I was replaying Becoming Potatoes (one i've fced on expert MULITPLE TIMES IN A ROW) when my flick wouldn't register and I lost the combo. Naturally I was confused because my flick notes that are a lot harder than this had worked perfectly before. It started getting really bad this last week and has finally gotten bearable after one of the maintenance on ensekai. Before I was switching fingers, flicking with more of a movement in my elbow, nothing. It was maddening because I had the skills to fc songs (I had fced them on my phone multiple times over by now where my main songs and stuff AREN'T) but it just wasn't working. Just here recently, It's not happening as much, so I'm thankful.

Skill issue is missing 5-10 notes because your fingers aren't tracking.

Tap recognition is missing ONE or TWO notes that ruin an FC, there's a difference.

For me, if the note doesn't register, it just doesn't register, not a good, or even a bad, just a flat out miss. So for me, I know im just a mediocre sekai player but I also know there's things I have done so many times that I can't do right now because no matter how hard I flick my screen, it just won't trigger.
(I play on iPad so I can't do the dots to indicate where I'm touching, but I can on my phone, (also ensekai) and while it happens less (which is ironic considering I'm not as good on my phone) it still definently exists.

So yeah, Please stop telling us this is a skill issue, yes, missing due to timing is one thing, missing while you still tapped is another. I don't know any other way than to video myself playing the notes, not just a screen record, but I don't have the setup. I'm done hearing this, and I figured it's time I actually said something, because this is getting ridiculous.

Thanks for listening to my rant, I've been trying to get info on this and It's always clouded by "sounds like a skill issue" making it hard for me to get an answer.

It happens to me with flicks all the time... I have to violently flick a lot for it to count so on faster maps I can't even full combo cause recovering from a flick takes so long

So it wasnt just me! I remember multiple times when the long notes just stop register. I thought, maybe I moved my finger too high or too low, but no, I was looking at my finger a couple of times, just to check, and I was staying stricktly in line, the long note just decided to die all of a sudden.
Flicks are strange too. Sometimes I can barely move my finger and it will register, but other time Im making a quite wide(?) move, but flick still wasnt registered

I remember when I was playing Kagerou Daze on master and it didn’t want to register
I died inside cause I know the people that were aware of me playing it on master difficulty just thought I sucked and I shouldn’t’ve chose master

This happens every so often in some games. No idea why. I usually just get a few misses, not failing. Happens to all co-op members also in the room when the glitch happens. Could be a server-based issue, but I have no idea what would make this happen (It is NOT a issue with my particular phone, only happens ever so often in co-op rooms, but subsides the next match and often matches after it)

My problem is with flicks. It’s seems like you have to flick it really hard for it to register but the problem with that is, when your playing a fast song you don’t think about how hard you tap or flick it’s just the game being stupid.

I sent an email to customer support about this and they just told me to adjust the timing even though the entire time I'm like "no it won't register my goddamn taps"

This happens to me all the time but somehow it only happens on en server, literally barely ever happens on JP, I guess at some point maybe they will fix it to be on par with JP server? (I play on iPad 9th gen so it’s definitely not just a device issue)

I had both EN and JP installed but when I tried EN it's not as smooth as JP and the flicks hardly register plus I get tons of greats like literally 100+ meanwhile I get almost AP on JP so definitely not a device issue

for people who are experiencing this issue, it's your device, or your finger placement. this issue has never occurred for me before.
