A Timeline Of The Tallest Buildings In History

What were the tallest buildings in the world? What are the tallest skyscrapers? Or the tallest ancient structures? Well, here's a timeline with the biggest man-made structures over the years.

Each building is on a timeline and it states what periods it held the record for the largest building in the world.

In some cases, you can see a building with a height lower than the previous building. This means it was destroyed or collapsed or lost in height. Thus, it got demoted and another building was the tallest in its place.

Im not an american.. but the Chrysler Tower and the Empire State building are one of the beautifully designed buildings even up to now.. Very iconic designs.. Im amazed they were one of the early buildings made.. Personally these are more beautiful than the modern themed structures..

The Effiel Tower and Washington Monument aren't classified as buildings. A building refers to a structure with habitable floors. The Eiffel Tower and Washington Monument don't have continuesly habitable flowers so they only count as structures.
