“Last year, when I decided to get married, I dug up all my saved reels, pinterest boards, & moodboards that I had been looking at ever since Mehul & I started dating. But when the wedding planning began, I realised that all of the ‘perfect’ plans were far from easy to achieve. That’s when my younger brother, Nitin said, ‘𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐢, 𝐡𝐮𝐦 𝐬𝐚𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞!’

Since childhood, he has been my go-to person! Even though he is 3 years younger than me, we're like twins. We've been inseparable since the start. Be it any exam, relationship problem, or something we wanted to hide from our mom, our 1st call would only be to each other. In fact when I 1st started dating Mehul, Nitin was the 1st to know. But despite all of it, I didn’t understand how my 23-year-old brother could help me with the lehenga & decor. I mean yes, I used to show him videos saying, ‘𝗬𝗮𝗮𝗿, 𝗡𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻, 𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗱𝗶 𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶 𝗵𝗮𝗶!' but never did I think that he could help me. But that boy left me surprised when he went ALL out! Nitin didn’t just help me look through 150 lehengas but also spoke to every vendor in the city.

I was living in Dubai while he was in Pune, but when we had decided to have the wedding at Ambala, our hometown, he moved in months before to ensure nothing would fall short in the preparations. There were times I’d reject so many ideas but he was patient with me. It was because of me, he learnt the word ‘aesthetic’ and that’s why throughout the preparations, it was all over his tongue! But this wasn’t it, Nitin managed all of this WHILE working on his job! He would work in the morning and go shopping during the evenings for me. I swear all my wedding jitters calmed down only because of Nitin! And that’s why, when on the wedding day, he saw me dressed as a bride, he couldn’t stop his tears! It was emotional because we saw our months of efforts 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞.

You know, all my wedding festivities went by so smoothly only because of Nitin. But that’s what brothers do right? 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 no matter how big or small it may seem?”
