If you want to do global effect layer you can add an 'Output Source' to your DSK scene on which can can add filters.

Ohh man, DSK's! I do IT for a local TV station, and I can tell you... we have at least 3-4 DSK's per channel. They are amazing. So glad someone created a plugin for OBS that does a similar thing!

Been using this plug-in for a while. I mainly use it for my main overlay where I have a cinematic style scene but instead of black bars, it's my camera that's blurred. Gives a nice effect, also added my spotify in there along with my notifs and it's been great honestly. Pretty great plugin!

I love that pink pastel web overlay you have for just chatting. It's a nice aesthetic.

Huh. I can see the value in this for applying whole-stream Filter effects (especially for Shader filters), but have a hard time otherwise seeing how this is a significant upgrade over just having a nested scene at the top called 'Overlays' and plunking everything in there.

I use exeldro's move transition to fully animate moving around my digital studio. The DSK plug-in is essential for a cleaner-looking implementation of my alerts; goals; animated lower thirds; etc etc - so I can turn them all on or off, without having to worry about one of my 40 scenes having one of those things on, and having it do a show/hide transition... Lots of stuff to keep track of, between the scenes, two personalities, two studios, and just having 10 things less to worry about.

(with animating moving around the studio, you need every source/group in every scene, so being able to have, say, a DSK scene where a logo, a studio applause/laughtrack, and 70s game show theme music all pop over any scene with a stream deck button - hot key DSK ftw! - just makes it so much easier than having to nest that stuff in 40 scenes...

I feel like the people that don't get the value of this don't have very elaborate setups...

Exeldro is the best.

I'm really glad that OBS has such robust plugin support because features like this would NEVER happen officially. Too much effort to make, not enough manpower to get it done. Exceldro is a god!

6:47 absolutely agreed, this is an upgrade to scene management. I’m going to take a close look at it and maybe suggest a transform property for the keyer in order to accomplish the things that might be missing using groups and nested scenes.

Great video! Does this require less pc usage than scene nesting?

Awesome video brother, most helpful subscription I've made.

If I'm understanding correctly, this is a better way of implementing nested scenes but nested scenes work just fine, less some quality of life stuff?

what if the transitition table or transititon matrix plugin (whatever it was called) had support for downstream key transitions so you could choose a different transition between each combination, or the downstream key plugin used the obs's built in show-hide transition selections per scene(its where you right click the scene). only current workaround to the transition problem is (and the one which I use is) just setting up multiple downstream keys. i think i have like four or five or sth like that for master audio, lower third, the ticker, the logo, and the brb screen

Do you do videos for steam labs? I can’t get my layout to work properly on obs and it tends to give me a larger headache

I do not see how is this add more than just use the 'eye' icon or Touch Portal etc to show/hide overlays within the scenes. I have a lot of overlays (players names, fault/score/substitutions etc) and that method just working fine during my streams. So what is the benefit of collect all my existing graphics in to a new DSK folder?

Can you do a video on the new NVENC H.265 HECV via FFMPEG. Is it good or how would I use it?

This looks really cool. I am getting so close to deciding to sell my ATEM mini pro iso.

R.I.P Athenascope 😢

Not bad plugin. I've been using it for a long time. My only concern is UI - it's not really handy from my point of view.
