FEATURED PRODUCT:

Originally developed back in 1936, the Rapala Original Floating Minnow has stood the test of time and is still a "go-to" lure for anglers world-wide. Made of balsa, the Original "Floater" can be trolled or cast and swims with the legendary Rapala "wounded Minnow" wobble. Because it mimics the natural action of a baitfish it attracts all kinds of species, freshwater and saltwater. Tie on this oldie but goodie and see why this lure is synonymous with catching big fish!

one of my favorite tricks with this Rapala minnow is to cast out near some lily pads or a dock or a boat that that is moored, and then just letting it sit there. I'll usually be but messing with another line, when all of sudden it gets hit hard.

This seems to work best in the morning, before the water is disturbed by other boaters.

I caught my first bass on a small Rapala floating minnow. I love 'em.

these have been around forever. I personally have used these since the 80's. These make great topwater lures for bass. Cast em our near cover, let them sit for a bit and twitch them. Reel them in slowly with your rodtip up and they will swim just under the surface and throw a wake. You can also reel them fast, reel them slow, throw a sinker on and fish them deep

If I had to condense my tackle down to four lures a silver floating Rapala would be one of them

From burning it to slow retrieval+twitches.
This is my one lure that just performs and catches fish no matter what.

Thanks, one of my favorite with the jointed and the count down also.

I love the micro version for crappie and creek fishing.

I twitch it gently and slowly, letting it stay on the surface. Fish will hit that thing, though, however you fish it.
