It's been a while but I'm back and thought we ought to have a little catch up to fill you in on where I've been and what's been going on! Yesterday was my provisional university results day where I found out how I did in first year at LSE studying Geography (with German).

in case you were curious, you’re right about the first year average, but your final classification is calculated differently (i.e. your 2nd and 3rd year grades aren’t averaged). the way it works is that for a first class classification overall, you need to get 10 firsts over the course of your degree, where a first in a half unit counts as 1 first and a first in a full unit counts as 2 firsts (and your first year average counts as 2 as well). alternatively you can also get 8/9 firsts and still get a first overall as long as your aggregate marks are above 1180 (where full unit marks are doubled and half unit marks are kept the same) :)

Same 64 in gy100 and same better in formatives, I don’t know how to get a first in that really and I think they should have had some summatives before because it’s annoying that all that work doesn’t count and it’s only the exam
