Like most other in-person events in 2020, the Great Dickens Christmas Fair was forced to cancel its 2020 season. But beginning Saturday, November 21, and on each of the five weekends through December 20 plus Christmas Eve, fans will be treated to a variety of holiday experiences online.

2021 SEASON
The Great Dickens Christmas Fair and Victorian Holiday Party will return in 2021weekends beginning Saturday, November 20 through December 19 and the Friday after Thanksgiving, at the historic Cow Palace Exhibition Halls in Daly City.

The Great Dickens Christmas Fair is a one-of-a-kind holiday adventure into Victorian London - an elaborate party with hundreds of costumed players performing and interacting with patrons in over 120,000 square feet of theatrically-lit music halls, pubs, dance floors, and Christmas shops. It's a twilight evening in Charles Dickens' London Town - a city of winding lanes filled with colorful characters from both literature and history. Enticing aromas of roasted chestnuts and hearty foods fill the air. Cries of street vendors hawking their wares ring out above the bustling crowd. Dozens of lamplit shops are filled to overflowing with Christmas gifts. The Dickens Christmas Fair is a treasured Bay Area tradition since 1970 and a splendid way to celebrate the holidays.

My elderly mother-in-law lives in Florida and suffers from depression and loneliness since the loss of my father-in-law. She LOVES the Dickens Fair and it has been our tradition to go when she is here visiting during the holidays. Thank you for giving this back to her in some small way. It means more than you know to our family.

The Christmas Dickensian Fair was a reminder of home for every year we were away from Ol'Blighty. We relished the tradition, reminisced over the food and marvelled at the spectacle. Whole wardrobes of clothes were purchased and much merriment was had participating in all the entertainment. I miss the absynth parlour, loved the docks, the theatres, the actors and the visitors. We now live back in the UK and check in each Nov to relive the spirit, it was truly nothing like we've ever experienced before and where we will rejoin you for 2021.

I been going to this event for years and every year I was not disappointed. I will miss the smell of cinnamon when I walked through the entrance of the fair. I hope next year the event will take place again.
