SO HERE IT IS! A closer look at the 1992 Nissan Sentra B13 that was once an iconic Genting Highlands Taxi! Almost a MILLION kilometres on the odometer, and it's a fixxer-upper for sure, but in buy-and-drive condition, for real.

The once characteristic yellow roof is now black, and there's definitely some bodywork to be done, plus I have NO idea how it drives because this video is courtesy of the seller! Yep, he shot it and sent it to me along with the photos.

It says "NGV" on the front bumper, but it's not installed anymore.Am I nuts for wanting to buy an ex-taxi? I mean seriously, I've referenced it so many times in the past, I can't believe one still exists! Yes, I'm weird...LOL! ;)

So what do you think folks? Worth saving? Let me know in the comments!! :)

Stay tuned for this absolute madness, hope I get to see it soon 🤞🏾😁

It does look fairly worn! But still an honest runabout! The way this car corners is stunning. Never before a Sentra cornered so confidently.

Just drive it another 60, 000+ km and then milage becomes zero. Practically a brand new car 🤣

Those days, Nissan makes solid and reliable cars. Now, the new Nissan models are pure junks.

I once drove a Wira with over 682k km on it, there's just something quite nuts about driving something with over half a million km on it.
If the price is reasonable, I'd say go for it! But I can't promise others would be willing to buy it ><

Chris, i think you should pass up this one. My main concern is the rust on the roof. Believe me man, it's not gonna be cheap to put right. I've done some roof work on my satria 1.6 a little while ago and it cost me quite a bit. An extra few hundred RM would ger me another gearbox for my satria. That's how expensive it was. Unless you wanna settle for a quick fibreglass patch. 😅😅😅 You might wanna check out one of my my videos. Did one specifically for rust on the body😁😁😁

If you were to find a Ford Cortina in this shape, I would say go for it in a heartbeat . I guess what appeals to your soul.

I have seen many of these b13 still running well in KL with no blue smoke though mostly they look tired because owner not laying new paint. I am driving my 2nd unit N16 and they are from same breed reliability or last era of reliable sentra. Go crazy a bit Chris, get her with some bargain nego. Mexico just ended its production like 2 or 3 years ago. Yes, check what I mentioned, they call it Tsuru. Means that parts will still plentiful be available probably online. It can be you another daily runner. Imagine it, this is a very well respected Sentra once they are repainted with original wheels on. Then you can drive it up to visit Genting in it again. Strike the deal right and go go go.

In certain markets like Mexico, they seem to sell the B13 for quite a long time (Until like 2-3 years ago where they finally axed it. It definitely won't pass modern crash standards anyway lol.)
But was called the Nissan Tsuru.

Seems to be very popular in those markets, given how solid these cars were, it's not hard to see why.

Yes of course you should buy it if the price is right. It will be a great satisfaction when you drive pass 1 mil and reset the mileage counter back to all 0. This legend car is truely worth and earn its place at your garage with high mileage champion. Issue a throphy for it.

The old gal has been around but just needs some TLC to keep ongoing, all depends on the asking price. Willing buyer willing seller as don't think there is a fixed market price for old cars. I'm sure there are many a time you just dive right in and see what comes later. Just go for it bro as I sense you want it

Depends on the price bro. If considering it needs paint work, new tyres and abit of interior TLC and still around market value, why not?

Still in good condition except it require little bit of body work...Worth to buy if the price is cheap.

This car can probably go another 1 million km under your care man! Plenty of time to take care of the exterior and interior while you are at it. Interested to see how cheap you can squeeze out of this💪🏻

Indestructable engine..paint work not worry on that, can be fix. Most important is the car accident free, no major damage on chassis. This model compare to the one u sold what's the year different ya?

Hi chris, i have an unrelated question. In the jpj grant / vehicle ownership certificate, the vehicle registration date is fixed right? Disregard of any new issuance of jpj cert and number of ownership, the date of registration is tied to the very first owner? For example if the car manufacture year is 2015 but the registration date as per the grant is dd/mm/2016, used car buyer can safely rely on the registration date of the jpj cert right?

Omg 1 mil KM and it’s running. Engine sounds solid though. To be fair actually taxis are well maintained because they are cari makan machines. Look at those old Merz at my hometown they are still running strong as daily taxi.

looks like the body condition is not that good, rear seems to have accident before as the boot doesnt fit properly and uneven surface + cracked paint is noticeable on the passenger side... assume he changed the boot because the emblem is SUNNY instead of SENTRA... the roof condition is the most worrying part as rust might reappear after it's been repaired... gonna spend alot on bodywork so it's only worthy if it sells in a very good price.. just my opinion though

not my cup of tea... however, engine still sounds great. Radio/audio surprisingly great. Driver seat obviously torn with that high millage, not totally gone case. Body work and paint is a must. the thing is, is it a keeper?? or a keep till someone wants it? One thing for sure, it will be a very hard sell back.

Body to repair, paint, mechanicals such as wiring, aircond system, undercarriage rust, suspension adjusted to be normal ride height... Too many things to be done, bro.

Up to u... I rest my case
