One of the CHALLENGES in using ctDNA in cancer research is whether it can be distinguished as “Normal” vs. “tumor DNA”.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is found in the bloodstream and refers to DNA that comes from cancerous cells and tumors.
Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) derived from tumors is present in the plasma of cancer patients.
