LG Tru Motion completely resolves this scene. I hate motion smoothing as much as anyone, but it’s tough to say no to something that finally resolved this.

Judder effect appears differently depending on your monitors/YVs. I have a monitor that shows very aggressive judder. I also have another monitor where it is less noticeable

Don't belive the people trying to blame this on your refreshrate this judder happens even when your display can handle native 23.976hz playback, the problem is the framerate it has allways been the framerate. you an clearly see it even in cinemas.

Wow here I was thinking I messed up when exporting my drone videos but it turns out I'm no worse than multimillion dollar cinema producers 😂

My phone shows this real well but my Qm8 not a single bit.

This is caused by the panning speed being too fast for 24 fps. A pan shot like this should take at least 50 seconds.

My new rec room tv instead plays this scene smooth for a second or so, pauses, then repeats. It's like a chunky stutter. Not sure how to fix this. My only TV that doesn't do it is an ancient Sony X900F. Still an amazing TV to this day, with some of the smoothest motion I've ever seen.

Happened 014:28 Episode 6 of Agatha All Along, when the camera looks around the room. RIP my LG Oled and my eyes.

I have the 85 inc Bravia 9 and have this problem my previous SONY X900H did not do this and either the tv has a serious problem or they just have not optimized it yet but i am seriously thinking of returning it

Yeah after watching this, I think epileptic people should not own an oled tv.

I used lossless scaling on this to generate more 176 frames. It looked perfect.

so strange, on my 31" samsung it looks bad, on my laptop msi it looks ok. Both at 120hz

This is due to the 24fps video shown here playing on a 30/60 fps monitor which will wait 6fps for the next frame to come along, do the math. The "only" time anyone should shoot at 24fps is if they intend to sell the film to an entity that expects 24fps.

So is the flickering on the panning the judder also? It appears that some of items in the pan flicker rather than judder.

Absolutely no judder on my iPad. Can Apple make a TV already?

The typical 24fps problem, but movie makers are apparently resistant to learning.

I see this effect despite my display is set on 120hz. Why?
