Gully Erosion: See How Quickly it Can Happen

preview_player
Показать описание
Take a look at how fast erosion can happen. This gully head moved 80 metres in 24 hours back in March 2018. Captured here on time lapse video, it's a powerful message about active gully heads. This one eventually ended up about 600m long. Terrain NRM constructed an engineered rock chute here to prevent further erosion and sediment loss flowing to the Great Barrier Reef.

Looks like my back yard now the new neighbours are funnelling their run off water onto me. Apparently there is nothing I can do about it.

Fascinating how the Earth reshapes itself. No environment is permanent

Just like the Grand Canyon before the sediment from Noah's Flood petrified.
