HI Hamster Friends!

A little video from hanging out with Shirley, the rescue dwarf hamster, this week.

I got these little woven baskets from Target recently. They are so handy for hamster wrangling and general interaction. it’s a nice place to put a hamster and interact with them without the worry of hard edges.

If you are interested in getting a pet hamster, please check your area for a hamster rescue or small animal rescue, they are more common than you might think!

PetFinder and your local pet shelter may also have surrendered or found hamsters looking for a loving home. Please consider giving a pet in need a place to live.

You can also volunteer with a hamster rescue, like I have, and take in rescued hamsters awaiting adoption.

So cute! I didn’t realize that hamsters could enjoy getting pet like that. ❤️🐹My Syrian hamster is a ghost hamster (he waits to come out when the lights off, so I barely see him), and my newly adopted dwarf hamster is very active. She’s okay with getting pet, but just for short amount of times.
