Taylor always visited drum shops all over the world when he was on the road, and would buy gear for whatever kids were in the store. He did this at the drum shop I was teaching at in Denver. I’m not talking about a pair of sticks. He’d drop a few grand on cymbal packs and snares. He never forgot where he came from. He was one of us.

It’s a weird feeling to see everyone commenting about Taylor. It’s cool to see how much we love him, but sad because we always say, “I love you” an hour and a day after it’s too late. But he was a legend and one of history’s best drummers (even if it’s only in my eyes). Even though I never met him, I’m gonna miss him.
