First Aid Kit - Universal Soldier (Buffy-Sainte Marie)

This protest song was written in the early sixties by Buffy Sainte-Marie. It's about individual responsibility for war. We wanted to sing this song because, unfortunately, what Buffy sang about at her time is still is so true today and will probably be so for years to come. We changed the lyrics a bit to make it more relevant to today's society.

I'm so glad I happened to click on the videos of First Aid Kit.There's nothing more powerful than their voices versus the electronically manipulated "crap" that is out there today. I bought Donovan's 45 rpm of Universal Soldier in the 1960s .... Thank you for updating and carrying on Buffy Saint Mrie's message of peace and personal choices. It may be more important now than it was when I was young. I was 16 when I bought that record. I'm 62 now, and true peace still eludes us.
