So I assume this is more or less a "factory" jumbo and not one of the more ramshackle field conversions. If I remember correctly ones in the field just had spare armor plates from knocked out or otherwise disabled Shermans welded to themselves effectively doubling their armor at the cost of intense weight issues. One of these field conversions I can think of off the top of my head would be "Thunderbolt VII" the personal tank of Creighton Abrams. It was an M4A3 (76) with as much additional armor welded on as was feasible. Even got some additional pieces slapped on the turret.

Great simulation! Spacing the applique plate would have been better, but I suppose it would be more difficult and time consuming.

I'd say that was survivable, although the crew might be deaf for awhile, and Timmy took some minor spalling to the face, but nothing he won't be able to live with...chicks dig scars. if they had been angled ever so slightly, the 88 would barely scratch it. Jumbo Sherman truly was a beast, at the cost of mobility and suspension issues(which pretty much all tanks heavier than originally designed had, including German ones)
