Sigh lemme explain guys: CptAnton is a GREAT thresh, there is no doubt about that. Everyone says that he is "best thresh ever", "god tier", "better than madlife".... better than madlife? Hear me out then:
These are norms games. As a diamond 4 player myself, when I play norms I get put with silvers/golds, so when I play thresh (I'm a thresh main) landing these hooks just come naturally. Madlife is a professional, who plays on a professional team, against other professional players, on a professional stage. The hooks that Madlife makes are considered "god tier" because they ARE god tier. The mentality level when you're at home playing some norms is WAYYYY more different than being on stage in a professional league of legends game. I would love to see CptAnton make a montage of these hooks in ranked (no sarcasm, would love to see this). And Madlife can do these same hooks on the KR server. And as much as I love America, KR > NA in league, that's just the truth.
Now that I am done ranting, just wanted to say that I do think CptAnton is a very skilled thresh player (for everyone that got butt hurt) and that every thresh montage I watch, I always predict in my head where the hook will go and i forsee it every time, but CptAnton always surprises me every other play.
