Love the 12 days of Christmas by Vivster. I was lucky enough to win this beautiful pattern during flossmas at Tiger Lily Designs. Kari is a lot of fun and very talented and creative! Thanks for connection to the beautiful freebie at Stone Street Stitchworks - a new one for me.

So fascinated by your antique sampler. It would be so wonderful if we could go back in time to meet the stitcher and know what their story is. Sorry you’ve had a family bereavement. Your Turkey platter is outstanding.

I have a suggestion. One by a teacher friend of mine. She teaches quilting. She takes her really fragle old tops and stitches them very carefully to muslin or white cotton cloth. It protects the item because when pick the item up by the edges of the fabric the fabric supports the item much more evenly. I also learned that very old items should never be washed. Just placed under screening and gently vacumed.

Another great flosstube. Love your platter it will bring you lots of happy memories when you use it at Christmas. Went over to watch Maxine, she did a lovely job of her first video. Loved how your 12 days of Christmas is coming along, I may have to go over and purchase that pattern, it’s lovely. Have a great week.

Gosh, you look so much like your dad! What a great picture of all of the brothers! So glad you've got the experts on the case of your lovely antique. It makes sense that it was probably a "whimsy" piece since no one seems to be able to recognize its purpose immediately. I think of all the clever ways people nowadays are finishing their stitching. Perhaps in 100 years or so one of our finishes might be a mystery to someone 😊Have a great week!

Another great video. I don't watch many flosstube videos...I just can't fit it into my day. But you are one of the 3 I make sure to watch and although I have to sing the song "don't let your Monday ruin your Sunday" most of Sunday, I usually can't wait to retire for the evening and watch your video on Sunday nights. I love most of the things you stitch although I mostly stitch samplers and a few designers charts; I love your accent (even though sometimes I don't understand the British words you use); I love your ingenuity when you look at something and see it as a way to attach a piece of cross stitch to it; I love your color choices and your "oh what the heck" attitude about dying fabric. Keep doing what you do as you entertain us and give us ideas, courage to jump into something new and you always make me laugh!.

Julie McConnell was the first to talk about having a 25/7 project: she has Reflections Stitching and Framing FlossTube which shares a chart of the week. Then Joy-Filled Stitcher and Michelle Bendy Stitchy picked it up:-)

Michelle…Happy Valentine’s Day…thanks for the STSW heart freebie…it is great that you found some more information on E. Watson Sampler…from the way it is shaped, it might be a part of a larger teaching sampler…thanks for the name of the new FlossTuber…your Sunday Fun cup is perfect…dividing up your grandmother’s China set was a great idea…the colors could be transferred to the next sampler you design…awesome picture of your grandparents’ boys…wishing you the best and happy stitching ❤️❤️

LOL. I too wasn't going to purchase any new charts. So far this year, I have purchased The Fox, Swans. Jack Rabbit, and today the 12 Days of Christmas. Thank you Michelle! I love the patterns!
As always, I enjoyed the visit and the information you share. See you next week!

Thank you for your video. Always a fun watch. Other than a soup turn, the platter was a great choice. And a Turkey platter, for sure! It'll be a lovely memento of your Uncle every year. It was very interesting hearing your research on that unique piece, and the contributions of the experts. Hope to hear more. That WIP is very pretty with that teal floss. I always love seeing your finds. Take care and happy stitching!

Good day!!!! Sorry for the loss of your Uncle but it seems you have good memories to hold on to. That platter!!! Its a lovely pattern. The colors are perfect. What if you charter that?? You know, it would make a beautiful border!!! Yes, Im serious. Could you imagine adding that to a sampler or even as a stand alone pattern?
As always, thank you for starting my week so well.

Thank you Michelle for the update I am a day behind here so you have kept me company during lunch. What a lovely Idea a turkey platter, this way you can remember uncle Malcolm at family gatherings. Your new sampler ? bag is certainly generating a lot of interest and it will be wonderful if you can find out any further information on it, so glad you rescued it. Right back to marking see you next week.

Do you think the antique piece could have been a pennant that hung from them a dowel or string? Maybe in a classroom?
Love the platter and the sentimentality of it ❤️
