Ever wondered what a Religious Profession of Final Vows looks like? Just before the second lockdown came into effect in Victoria, Br Luke CP made his Final Vows as a Passionist.

The Passionists of the Holy Spirit Province (Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea & Vietnam) live as a community of “active contemplatives,” maintaining a healthy and fulfilling balance between ministry and prayer. Everything about our life is based on the Passion of Jesus, or as our Founder, St Paul of the Cross, calls it: “The greatest work of God’s love.”

While our traditional ministries have been leading retreats and parish missions, we also explore and accept other avenues that enable us to keep alive the memory of the Passion and to minister to the Suffering Christ of today. St Paul once wrote, “The zeal for the ministry of the Cross is ingenious,” and indeed that zeal has taken us to 63 countries, seeking the marginalised in our society.

It is our unique vocation as Passionists – “To love Christ in His Passion, and to be there for others in theirs”.
