yeah even like 0.001 difference can almost stop z fighting in most cases

I've been embedding conveyor belts in the ground, using 1-meter foundations. Doing this straight results in Z-fighting, so the belt texture constantly flickers. I gather this used to work without Z-fighting prior to update 5, since you see a lot of "moving sidewalks" posts from earlier versions about doing this, and no mention of flickering.

What fixes this is to elevate the belt very, very slightly. The thickness of a dropped iron plate, for example. Drop the plate, place the conveyor support, remove the plate. So does increasing the height of the foundation supporting the conveyor by 0.1 meter, relative to the 1-meter foundation embedding the belt. You can get 0.1 meter height differences by exploiting beams and frame foundations. Beams embed themselves 0.5 meter down when placed horizontally on a foundation, and frame foundations are 0.4 meter high.

God I hope this works because that's always been my biggest annoyance with doing stuff like circular structures and such. Like I obviously don't play CSS for it but I'm glad they are doing something about it now.
