UK Black Pride - This Is Me - Aisha & Alexa

This Is Me. This Is Home was created in collaboration with Ogilvy UK to celebrate the 15th anniversary of UK Black Pride – Europe’s largest celebration for LGBTQ+ people of colour – and to reaffirm UK Black Pride's mission as the 'pride-home' for Black and BAME LGBTQ people across the UK.

The campaign features a cross-section of UK Black Pride's communities, including actor and playwright Rikki Beadle-Blair, model Lili Ming, activist Aba Amoah, poet Brisbon Kofi, singer Aaron Porter, DJ and disability activist Lady Shaka, performer Anthony Pius (Bolly Illusion) and photographer Elainea Emmott.

This Is Me. This Is Home. also includes some of the volunteers who help make UK Black Pride happen each year, including Moud Goba, Yusef Gojikian, Alexia Lenoir, Aisha Shaibu, Kayza Rose, Chloe Davies and – of course – UK Black Pride's co-founder and executive director, Lady Phyll.

In the run up to our 15th anniversary celebration on Sunday, 16 August, the campaign will be showcased through digital out-of-home advertisements, fly posters and film content across social media. From mid-August, the UK Black Pride communities will be able to add their own stories and images to the campaign through use of a special Instagram filter.

We would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the team at Ogilvy. This campaign brought together some of the brightest, most talented and most impassioned team members from across the organisation, and has been a wonderful experience for UK Black Pride.
