In this Wreckfest gameplay you can expect eye-watering crashes and breath-taking racing to the finish line, all in an ultra-realistic setting.
This racing video game was revamped for the PS5 with the PS5 version becoming available on 1st June 2021 with enhanced visuals and running in 4K at 60FPS.
Wreckfest is developed by Bugbear Entertainment, the same people who brought us the FlatOut series, and is published by THQ Nordic. The exhilarating racing-stroke smash-‘em-up game is reminiscent of classics such as Destruction Derby, the 1989 racing game Street Rod, and FlatOut.
What are the Wreckfest gameplay features you can expect on the PS5?
Well, ultimately the gameplay has a banger racing and destruction derby focus, although there is a more strategic approach to Wreckfest which is similar to the more traditional style of car racing gameplay. The blend of the two makes for a unique experience, but still with plenty of wrecking fun.
When it comes to combative car racing, it’s safe to say Wreckfest leads the way.
In the PS5 gameplay, there are awesome cars to choose from, and better still you can customise them! Whether its adding body armour or modifications to improve performance, you might just want to make your car look good. You can buy and sell cars, too.
You can play multiplayer or go mad with some insane vehicles in Challenge mode, even battle to become the ultimate Wreckfest champ in Career mode.
The PS5 gameplay adds emphasis on details for an improved playing experience. The way the dirt hits the vehicles, soft-body damage modelling and how the car performs when it’s been damaged, the visual effects of skidmarks on the tracks, even sharper shadows and environmental lighting are all improved thanks to the higher texture quality. Game features few camera view, such as cocpit view or chase cam.
Bring faster loading times and DualSense haptic effects into the Wreckfest gameplay experience and you’ll be hooked on causing destruction in no time.
