1)Pollen grain is non motile, haploid, unicellular body with single nucleus.
2)It is surrounded by two layered wall called Sporoderm,
3)The outer layer Exine is thick and made up of complete and non biodegradable substance called Sporopollenin. It made be smooth or with sculptured pattern. It is resistant to chemicals. At some places exine is very thin showing thin ares called as Grem pores.These are meant for the growth of emerging pollen tube during germination of Pollen grains,
4)The inner wall layer, Intine consists of Cellulose and Pectin.

Correct me if I am wrong. Pollen grain has 2 nuclei, right?

Random question: can anyone tell me if the inside of a space heater is hot enough to destroy pollen grains as they pass through it? I’ve been running one for 10-20 minutes a day and it seems to help with allergies but I’m not sure.
