How to fit a wooden file handle onto a file (or, in this case, a thread chaser)

I needed to put a handle on a thread chaser & I'd recently seen a bit of a video of someone making a tapered reamer to open out the holes in wooden file handles, which I thought was a bit unnecessary, so decided to do a short video on it.

If the steel gets too hot you mess with the heat treatment. The good ones like from glardon vallorbe for example are one piece hardened the whole length. You can drill several steps in the handle where the taper will catch. No need for a reamer.
