How a Spy Thinks #61 [Spy-On-Man]

G'day all MrPaladin here.

I was wanting to do two things today. Firstly I installed a new Eye Tracker and wanted to test it out and both show you what I look at and also work out myself what I do look at while I play spy.

The second thing I was wanting to check was playing with a spycicle in this current pyro infested environment. Many have complained that it did not protect like it used to.

So lets take a Spycicle, with a L'etranger and an Invis watch onto Merc Park with the eye tracker and see who we can spy on.

So I noticed the following things as I observed my eye movements...
1- I track threats...
2- I track targets...
3- I only look sidelong at enemies unless I'm aiming for them...
4- I look at my disguise a lot...
5- I look at the killfeed and team kill list on hud often (especially near their spawn)
6- I don't look at my health unless I'm horribly wounded... I simply assume I'm fine and pick up health when possible.
7- Because I was using an invis watch with l'etranger I was focused on if the ammo boxes were present and mostly ignored the health.

This was actually a really cool video idea. The eye tracking gave me some real insight about where your focus is. Normally I'm looking all over the place when watching your vids, however this time I found myself trying to match your area of focus. Yeti mammaries and Saxton's own package aside, I especially enjoyed the addition of the eye tracker as it gave us insight (hohoho) into your own determination.

It is often been said that a warrior's greatest asset is patience and observation, the former of which i have learned from your calm and collected playstyle, and the latter now manifested in the way your expertise views your surroundings.

Although it is rather a bit distracting, it certainly in a way, bridges our immersion, as we now effectively see as you see.

I noticed that the eye tracker tended to disappear for brief moments as you were changing what your disguise was holding. I'll take a guess that you had to glance down to your keyboard for that, which is interesting to me in all honesty. I would've imagined that you'd be used to doing such a thing and use muscle memory for it.

Man the things you can learn about yourself with this thing :D

EDIT: Also, 'you love Pyro tears'... you cruel man lol
