Question sir, you mentioned up to 8 years of lower earnings would be dropped off of your total working years of contributions which in turn may help your monthly benefit, us this done automatically when you apply or is this something you have to make sure is adjusted for?...hope I am clear in my question lol

Hi, thanks for the video! I am 61 years old and have just retired a couple of months ago. I am melting down on my RRSP and am wondering if I should apply for CPP now. As per the CRA site, I will be receiving $290 more if I were to start taking CPP at age 65.

Since the contribution is my money, why am I not allowed to take out the full contribution out in one lump sum if I so choose?

The view it is unfair to future generations is no more unfair than it was to the now seniors of today. They have paid all of their lives just to receive a pittance. Your view depends on which side you are on.

I’m also from Alberta, myself and everyone else I know here do not want to split from CPP. However we do want to split from Danielle Smith. She’s like a Trump of the north🤬

We shouldn't pay double CPP funds to retirees. It's a burden to our children's who pay a lots of income tax. Is unfair to our childrens. There are many mainlanders at the ages of 65 years without contribution enjoying OAS funds. We must stop it.
