Very important to do on hot coals not flames or fire, the temperature as to be low or you will loose it or caught on fire.

Thanks for the valuable information. First part is finding fat wood 🪵 Pine and Fir trees and stumps are a good source of fat wood.

What is the use of the oil ? I love fat wood for starting fires so is there advantage to extracting the oil ?

Must be a way to do it without the foil and tin box or other manufactured stuff if need be.
