Celestion G12-65 Metallica Shootout!

Here's how the two vintage ones compare and contrast to the heritage series reissues I have. In the room the reissues are way more scooped, and the '81 is a happy medium between them and the brighter '83. Which do you like best?

I'm gonna sound crazy but I think I like the Reissue the most here, with the 1983 one close behind. The one from 1981 has this super hairy top end that I don't personally like, the other two versions sound much more smooth.

I use to own G1265’s from 1980. I like the 81 a littler better here.

Must admit that those 81s are the sound. ….really wanted the Heritage to come out on top; I hate gear hunting…. .

Where'd you get those Cap'ns of Krunch lanyards? You just inspired me to get some Danzig ones, I know one of those is OTTO and the other is the AJFA boxset one. But I can't find them at a good price anywhere.

I have these speakers, sound much better when the sm57 is moved away from the center.
