Also, hidden in this "more mercy at the margins" approach is a deep-seeded desire to be admired. No one saying "more chastity" will be thought of as cool in The Revolution!

The question isn't about whether we agree with doing it, the question is do we do it? Are we really living Christ's love if we spend more time condemning heretics than serving the needy?

I think John chapter 8 is a great example for our time. Our blessed Lord gives the angry mob a lesson in mercy, forgives the adulterous woman, and then calls her to repent.

When I wasn't practicing there was no encounter, accompaniment and extend mercy group for fornicators. It was clear that I needed to repent and reform my life. Why do the LGBTQ need a special outreach group?
