These DCU Casting Rumors Don't Seem Great...

With the DCU starting up, news and rumors abound have been coming up regarding who will be playing certain characters like Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart as well as Booster Gold and the actors who have been propping up seem like unusual choices that would greatly affect what the DCU will look like which is what I’ll be covering in this video.

Josh Brolin could LITERALLY play Slade Wilson. They have the same face and he's played character with similar vibes like Cabel fron Deadpool.

I really hope that Booster Gold casting rumour is wrong. He is just way off.

As for the Hal Jordan I like the kinda different take with Hal already being a legend. I think Chris Pine is the superior casting to Josh Brolin because even if I am OK with an older Hal, a Hal Jordan who is 25 years older than Superman just feels wrong

I think alot of the heroes who will be in the Main JL (Superman, John Stewart, probably Wally West, Hawkgirl) will be younger around 30 with other heros being older. Like a reverse Kingdom Come

They Hank Pym’d Hal Jordan and that sucks! I was looking forward to a Buddy cop show not a pro and a rookie. Also if Lanterns ends with Hal becoming Paralax or his death it’s probably going to suck.

Honestly i dont know why their going for older actors for cetain characters especially if they want them around for the next decade+ and not taking the chance of younger unkowns plus it sucks their making Hal older and a mentor to John rather than them being equals and the same age which just feels they dont want him to stick around which feels like a waste especially with the best Lantern stories he brings

Josh Brolin could be better suited as Slade Wilson (aka Deathstroke), and Kumail Ali Nanjiani would better be suited for Tomar-Re, Red Tornado, maybe Plastic Man, or even Amazo.

They nailed Superman, Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner, and Mr Terrific… but they’re starting to get cocky and frivolous with the casting. One of the reasons the MCU maintained its popularity is because of how good its casting used to be. RDJ, Scar-Jo, Evans, Hemsworth, Ruffalo, Renner, Samuel L. Jackson, and all the others (like Don Cheadle, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, etc.) were cast perfectly for their respective roles. I don’t think the MCU would have been AS popular if they had miscast their key players. Sure a couple were recast, but they recovered very quickly. This could be another stepping stone for WB to begin tanking another DC cinematic universe.

Tighten things up, WB. Leave no room for error. They NEED to get the core League right, otherwise people won’t connect with them like they should. Josh Brolin as Hal is not the right direction for the character. Aging him up to be an elder to John washes over YEARS of Hal’s stories they could cover.
