I always laugh when I hear it's a smaller event than the Queen's due to 'cost of living crisis'. The Queen had both her wedding and Coronation during rationing from the war! Cost of living crises don't get much bigger than that, and the opulence of the occasion was itself cause for celebration and optimism.

My initial reaction was “how dare he, to snub the invitation of our King.’
After of a deep breath I realised it’s the right decision. If Biden visited he’d have a huge entourage of armoured limousines FBI/Weapon carrying heavies etc which would distract from the very British Ceremony so yeah, good decision
