How Temu is bringing gamified e-commerce to the west

On February 7th I had the pleasure of giving a keynote on new innovative forms of e-commerce from China at the Studium Generale at Breda University of Applied Sciences.

One company I talked about was Pinduoduo, and how it uses gamification to optimize time spend and retention. At the end of the presentation I showed the audience that this same gamification has already arrived in the west through a new e-commerce app that incidentally also launched its first Super Bowl advert and matching game last week.
