Maize seed farmers in Transnzoia County are set to experience a transformative boost in production through innovative fertilizer solutions by Yara East Africa.
according to Abednego Sengwer who was representing William Ng’eno the country manager Yara e.a, trails undertaken last year together with the research department of Kenya seed company and one of the seed maize growers in the region saw yields go up to 2,400 kgs from an average of 1000 kgs per acre.
Yara has partnered with key seed merchants conducting trials at Lulu farm that demonstrates solutions to help farmers double their output to close the yield gap.
