Kyiv 2022

This is the first public performance of Brian Balmage's newest composition, Kyiv, 2022. It is played by the South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble at their March 27, 2022 "A European Odyssey" held at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology. SJAWE conductor explains the "Banding Together" project that the band has undertaken to help the Ukrainian refugees though the Polish Community Band Association.

We did this in my honorband.
We had a lady there who had a small niece in kiev that had been killed by the bombing. She Was crying as she talked about how she was thankfull for the show of suppourt.
I nearly cried when we got to the 5:00 minute mark.

it was a honor to play this.
