Is the NEW CHEMICAL GUYS WHEEL CLEANER with Iron Remover GOOD OR BAD?

Chemical Guys just released a new wheel cleaner with iron remover. The Two face color changing wheel cleaner. I wanted to see how this compared to another readily avialable wheel cleaner with similar capabilities so I put it up against one of the best values Meguiars Ultimate All Wheel Cleaner. How do they compare?... ENJOY!!!

Never used either of these products however, I have used Adam’s wheel cleaner and found that to work really well.

Always good to see new products. I've tried a few, but old school methods work great too. My cheap go-to has always been a gallon of water with a few table spoons of Dawn for suds and a few cups of vinegar. Apply, agitate, and rinse quickly. Repeat on tough spots and rinse thoroughly. As long as you don't let it dry, it's a darned cheap way to clean filthy wheels. On a car that get's washed weekly, basic car shampoo with normal agitation is just as effective as expensive wheel cleaners, IMO.

By the looks of it, the new Chemical Guys (visually) reminds me of the Oberk wheel cleaner with iron remover. Looks like it performed well!

Is there any wheel cleaner that can damage the wheels? I have ferrada rims chrome n a platinum gunmetal finish and I’ve been afraid of using products

Have you tried the Ethos Wheel Cleaner+? It seems to work well. Smell is not too bad.

Great video and the active ingredient is called Sodium thioglycolate: The active ingredient in iron removers, this compound reacts with iron particles to create ferric thioglycolate. I have a degree in chemistry and this was a great video but what is the ph scale for this product. Dark Fury is a great product and it can be bought in bulk 5 gallons. Thank you for taking the time make a video and for making people more proficient and better detailers.

Why not just use a citrus all purpose cleaner on the tires since that has multi-use capabilities. Works just fine

i can tell you all wheel clean is legit. sneaky tip. it’s a decon. spray wheels and spray body. sticks and will reacts very well. spray all down the same time

I have a BMW M4 and have a terrible time w my rotors rusting after a detail and that creates dust that ruins the wash when I drive. Is there a product I can use to remedy this?
