I straight up thought as a kid that the camera crew filmed during the prehistoric times

BBC seriously needs to reboot the show, the same narrator, better visuals and updated accurate dinosaur models with feathers, more episodes on different dinosaurs, like Spinosaurus, Carnotaurus, Styracosaurus and maybe even more prehistoric creatures in general like Sarcosuchus, Mosasaurus and perhaps even Dimorphodon. But for now, just enjoy what we got in earlier years, a true masterpiece

at first i thought it would be a compilation of every main character death, but its actually EVERY death including insects and fish LOL

9:55 that is the most depressing thing a saw as a kid. Mom dead, the kids are helpless and big blast killed them, it blasted existential crisis at me so hard.

One of my favorite shows with my dad who sadly passed away in 2019 of cancer. He rented this from Hollywood video when I was a kid

I never realized how sad that last one was. The two little T-Rexes just hopelessly scrambling around their mother’s corpse before nature takes them all out altogether. Looking back as an adult this show also put so much into the story outside all of the usual dino expositions, makes you appreciate this even more than before.

Gosh the cgi was truly great in this! The close up animatronics get all the love, but just look at the cgi for once! Gorgeous animation, realistic impressions and great anatomy with even some skin simulation. Heck the only thing missing is a better render engine (for better shading), but this is god tiers for 1999. The animators, 3d modelers and so on did a fantastic job.

I realize how there seems to be * a mix * of animatonics and CGI ... '_' when they say that 'CGI is getting worse', it's neat to know how still looking like 'late 90's' CGI means it can look this.
