I have a knox mesh jac, , (only used twice in 4yrs) the last time I got caught out temp wise and boy was it cold, , but I carried a harrington wind sheeter jac to go over the top and it worked a treat

I have a relatively old rev it mesh jacket. It’s great too. Agree with you waterproof over jacket if it gets wet or cold.

Great review. I've owned one (Olive) for a little over one year and have zero complaints. I live in a HOT climate in the U.S. and also wear the new Knox Honister (AAA) underneath. Yep, I'm weird in that way (can't ever have too much protection); yet despite the extra under-layer, the two work beautifully together, and flow an insane amount of air.

Very much like the look of that. Had my Knox vented jacket for a good few years and used it all over Europe, it transforms hot weather riding. Of course, you have to stop and put an extra waterproof layer on when it's wet but hey ho, nothing is perfect! 😉

At 199 pounds, it's quite expensive compared to the competition, for what it is. RST do a good one.
Good review, Tony.

Nice jacket. It's a Merlin jacket so £199($380nz) is fair for a well made Merlin jacket.

I find that it doesn’t flow well. Only feel wind in my upper arms. I’m sweating like crazy after 15mins. Cutting is too baggy in the arms as well.

I got myself a pair of Merlin water proof boots a few years ago but I don't ride in the winter. The first time we had heavy rain they leaked. So will NEVER buy a Merlin product again 👍

While I do think that Merlin make decent gear I will never buy any of their jackets. Why? the zip closure on the front of the wrist, that's why. To me that looks sh*t and allows water, etc. ingress. Pretty much every Merlin jacket is like that, so not for me, ever.
