Totally get the rating between the injury and the team imploding, and I get how much performance on the year effects these ratings. But, man, maybe it's just my chargers fan bias showing through, but this feels criminally low. There's a reason the chargers went from a regular bad football team that at least played good teams close to "losing 63-21 to a raiders team that scored 0 points the previous week" bad the week after Herbert went down. As far as im concerned, he's been dealt the worst situation out of any of the top qbs in the league and still plays incredible, and that should get more credit than it does.

Saying Herbert is overrated is like saying an nhl goalie who faces 60 shots per game is overrated compared to goalies that face 30 shots per game, even though they have similar save percentages, because he “doesn’t win” as much.

He's about to come back for vengeance next season. The team may be rebuilding because of year 1 with Harbaugh but Herbert has always carried bad coaches. He'll excel so much with finally having a real coach. Remember Manning didn't get Tony Dungy until his 5th year as well. We're gonna see a more confident Justin Herbert I believe going forward. As long as he can stay healthy we always have a chance to win games.
