DapperVistaDIY: 55 Gallon Drum Grill Build (no welding)

I built a drill from a 55 gallon drum. No welding. Trust, I was going to try welding but ended up doing well with bolting my rails and everything else. This grill is also an AMAZING smoker (which I didn't expect). It really holds the temp consistently. I've added a temp gauge to the front of it since this video was produced.

Hey Shelly, great build. I built a double barrel smoker a few years ago and just replaced the fire box/barrel. The one thing I did for my doors is I bought an extra barrel and cut the doors 3” wider and taller than the opening.

I like that you left in the problems. As a fellow diy enthusiasts, i like to learn from other's struggles. For future reference, a good hot burn out should be done every time when building a grill/smoker, even on food grade barrels. Food grade coating will come off during use, burn it out

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful job. That is what I’m talking about. Even though you didn’t have experience using those tools you went for it anyways and that is what this life is all about...getting out of your comfort zone. And the end product looked great!

I’ll come pick the barbecue grill that had that oil in it!!! They tell me fire gone stop Devil in the end if fire can burn the devil up I know!!!it will burn oil out of dat Good job doe

Wow, would of never thought of using a cart from harbor freight! Genius!! Good job! Btw fire wood attracts termites, careful storing wood close up against the house or a wall, would hate for termites to get into your home!

You could've used the first one, just wash it out with concentrated dawn and hot water real good and burn it out a couple times that's what I did to mine, no oil residue at all after that
