The man is a fantastic manager, and the prem isn't a fantasy world. Being in both the prem and champions league is a tough task for any smaller side with a squad that needs a serious makeover.

The defence defo needs a big makeover, Duran needs to play more, and Villa need to be passing forward (and quickly) rather than slow passing in the midfield as if they were a La Liga side. The players also need to not hold onto the ball too long (Rogers).

This team still has a lot of potential, just needs a few new acquisitions, and a bit of a new makeover.

I say all of this as a neutral who just loves the game of football.

League form at the end of last season and for the most part this season, has been bang average. Emery is world class and has performed miracles with this squad of players to get us anywhere near where we are. Hopefully we can add a few more faces, as we look a side closer towards the bottom six, than the top six. UTV⚽

Everything is too slow and we have gone soft as a team. Chelsea bullied us off the ball everywhere today. Watkins needs to be dropped or moved out wide till he gets his act together. Players need to man up and get their act together.

My biggest worry was back in the summer with champions league qualification the players that were brought in were not world class players and this has proved to be right, I thought champions league you can get the best players didn't happen for us and actually sold 2 of our best players

You’re going to have to change it up Unai..in the last few weeks we’ve had managers of two teams telling the press that it’s easy setting up against Aston Villa because Villa do the same thing every game..I’ve never managed or got any coaching badges but even I’d find it easy to set a team up against us..

They f.... up the last transfer window ! One thing we sold our best players and the one that came in was not good enough they weren't even half that good and they didn't buy any defenders that was a bog mistake and is paying for that now !!

Emery is a fantastic manager but he needs to make it near impossible for us to keep shipping in goals by switching our tactics to be more defensively resolute. We keep being ran ragged by attackers and it has to come to an end. But Unai is more smart than me in terms of the game so I have full belief he’ll do the right thing. UTV!

Don't need to blame emery, he is a good manager, we just get unlucky. If we continue to play like this, we will never achieve anything. Hope we will fix ourselves and previous games should be a lesson for us. UTV

The whole team tempo is off. Last season we used to have rhythm and pace. Now we dither with the ball at the back and put pressure on ourselves or we get the ball in the middle, look up, check back and pass back to the full back or centre back. It's like we have a mental block. Someone asked are they being over coached as we are playing with no fluency or spontaneity? It is like we are going through the motions.

No disrespect to the players brought in but Luton Hull and Everton were not teams I was expecting doing transfer business with after getting champions league football

Bit of perspective needed really, we started this season strong, but then champions league kicked in, different intensity needed than conference, and having to sell Luiz and Diaby for FFP. A season of adapting at a higher level was always going to be the case, there’s some strong physical teams in this league that will bully you if you’re not up for it, especially when they’re not playing in other comps, that’s where we need to find momentum again and be more up for it on weekends.
