With all due respect to our NATO friends, some countries in the alliance cannot be trusted. First of all Hungary would have told Putin the second the information was shared. France would have thought it was smart and Macron being the Putin Whisperer he desperately wants to be would have telephoned Putin as some gesture that always backfires, Turkey would have called Putin and asked for concessions for information about Wagner. The list goes on.
