On top of showing quite a bit of gameplay footage and dropping new story details, Sony also revealed plenty of other new information in a PlayStation Blog update and a post-show interview with the game's developers following the PlayStation Showcase. As such, we've learned quite a bit about the game recently, and here, we'll be going over the ten biggest pieces of info that you should know about.

When I beat the first game I just left feeling like it was only the start of a very very long journey so I’m surprised it’s the last one but I think the fact that the closed off realms are now unlocked is game design genius because I thought it was so odd to taunt of with it in the first game but now it makes sense

Them wrapping up the Norse saga in two games is not as surprising as people make it out to be. The Jotnar shrine that Odin ripped off and hid in Tyr's temple in Helheim basically told us what the future of God of War is. It showed the symbols for the Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and Japanese Gods of War. That's a lot of ground to cover and a trilogy for each one would be way too much. Even two games per God of War is a colossal undertaking.

Can't lie, while not totally unexpected I really wanted Barlog to remain the director but I'm still super excited!!

I really hope Freya is a real threat in this game and a relentless boss that keeps coming, not a one and done type of deal .

can't wait to see the twist midway through the game where you use Thor's hammer as your new weapon. :)

Correction: Kratos killed only ONE of Thor’s sons (Magni), and the other one we never actually saw die. So chances are that Modi survived his “neck stabbing cliff fall” and will have a surprise return, and probably be on our side for the final battle, since someone needs to inherit Mjolnir.

I'm still convinced that the Norse saga will be a trilogy
The 1st game (God of War 2018) did hint that time travel is possible. In one of Mimir story, he said that Thor and Jormungandr battle at Ragnarok was so violent that Jormungandr was knocked backward through time, even before his own birth.
So maybe at the end of the 2nd game, after Ragnarok, Kratos and boy will travel back in time and that will be the 3rd game in the Norse Saga
I could be wrong, who knows

It's so much going on in the background during the gameplay. I really enjoyed the ass kicking when "Thor was talking. I never thought "Tyr would be alive this is very cool. This is gonna be absolutely amazing I cannot wait. I'm so happy I already have a PS5. Everything has been amazing and will continue to even get even more amazing 🤩

He's the creative director of the series, but Eric is in charge of the game. Cory is working on the new Sci-fi IP, Ragnarok is gunna be a Long and very massive game. THE game end when Ragnarok happens. The reason why it's the last in the norse saga is because asgard is destroyed in Ragnarok hence no more Norse Gods

The post show mentioned that Cory Barlog was the creative director for the new game.

My fear is that one game won't be enough to finish the mythology off properly.

They could always have just parted Ragnarok up into two pieces since it after all consists of a long series of events.

When Artreus walked in the cave with the deer, the horns gave him a Loki look.

You know funny enough as you were speaking about the wolves slid mechanics, it was kinda giving me the vibe that the wolves could be a reference to the wolves of ragnarok Skoll and I'm wondering if it's just me alone who picked that up from watching the trailer

Wow didn't know this'd be the last game. I thought they'd start Ragnarok off here and the third game will wrap it up. Now I'm even more hyped for this. Hope I can get my hands on a ps5 to enjoy this at the fullest
